Responsibilities:
Greater Waltham Arc (GWArc) seeks an Employment Coordinator to develop community employment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. S/he is responsible for outreach to area businesses seeking appropriate work sites and develops and maintains ongoing positive relationships with host companies and funding sources (Dept. of Developmental Disabilities and Mass. Rehab Commission). The position includes assistance to the GWArc participant to develop resume and interview skills and may include training and oversight in new employment positions as well as travel training. Oversight of Group Supported Employment (in four local area universities) includes liaison to those schools' staffs and GWArc employees in already established food service and buildings/grounds positions. GWArc promotes independence, participant choice and community inclusion for those we support.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related field and 3-5 years in employment services to similar populations. Supervision experience required. Excellent organizational, communication and coordination skills. Ability to effectively develop relationships with a wide range of employers and with persons with challenges.

Other Qualifications: Ability to multi task and to prepare and update reports on computer. Driver's license and car. Experience in customer relations required. Commitment to GWArc's mission and goals especially the concept of community inclusion, consumer choice and self-determination. Computer literate. Professional appearance and presentation a must.

Work Schedule: 40 hrs. Flexible schedule includes some evening hours.

Job Title:
Group Supported Employment Site Supervisor

Responsibilities:
The Group Supported Employment (GSE) Site Supervisor is responsible for daily oversight of employees with intellectual/developmental disabilities at a local university. Working in either Food Service or Buildings & Grounds locations, the Site Supervisor ensures that participants are completing specific entry level tasks in a safe and timely way. The Site Supervisor is liaison to the dining or maintenance manager to create a successful experience for the individuals while fulfilling the needs of the school. Position also includes some case management paperwork and attendance at participant meetings. The Site Supervisor may at times have to assist GWArc participants with hands-on kitchen or cleaning tasks, depending on participant attendance and the work load.

Qualifications:
BA/BS degree or High School diploma and 2 year of related experience with I/DD population or vocational services. Good writing skills, computer literate, strong organizational and communication skills. Driver's license and car.
Additional Info:
Work Schedule: Hours are non-negotiable - 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. promptly with occasional later afternoon training meetings. Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities:
To assist individuals to participate and benefit from Community Based Day Supports (CBDS) Program activities including Day Habilitation program therapeutic services and Community Based Day Support program activities including community access and integration based activities and associated skills such as transportation training, community safety, social inclusion and leisure and recreational activities through the implementation and development of individualized programs, plans, interventions and other scheduled program activities in a variety of settings. Maintain a case load including ISP/DHSP development and implementation and case management paperwork requirements. To enhance participants' independence, dignity, safety, personal and self care activities.
Qualifications:
B.S. in a Psychology, Special Education or related field. In lieu of a college degree a High School diploma or GED with 2 CBDS years paid work experience in a case management/direct care role with persons with Developmental or Intellectual Disabilities. Functional capability to lift, transfer, pivot and bear participants' weight in a safe manner. Ability to implement multiple behavioral plans/individualized interventions/programs in a variety of settings/environments. Ability to meet paperwork deadlines and requirements. Commitment to community inclusion and upholding the dignity of people with disabilities. Ability to obtain/maintain certification in non-violent restraint, CPR/First Aid and Human Rights Officer training. Ability to work in a team environment. Good time management, organizational and communication skills (both oral and written). Valid driver's license required, access to a car, ability to drive agency van.

Responsibilities:
The Developmental Disabilities Assistant assists participant(s) to participate and benefit from Day Habilitation activities through the implementation of Program routines, and other daily scheduled program activities; enhances participants' independence, dignity and safety by assisting participant(s) in personal and self care activities and during transitions to and from program activities. The Developmental Disabilities Assistant is expected to perform job duties consistent with GWArc policies and procedures and participant individualized plans and interventions.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree and 1-2 years of paid or unpaid experience working with people with disabilities or in a care giving/teaching role or H.S./GED with 3-5 years related experience.

Other Qualifications: Functional capability to lift, transfer, pivot and bear participant(s) weight in a safe manner. Able to work effectively within a variety of settings. Commitment to community inclusion and upholding the dignity of people with disabilities. Flexible and able to respond to a variety of requests.

Seeking reliable, mature, energetic individual to assist with GWArc agency and community recreational activities for adults and children with disabilities. Flex hours weekly mid-afternoon, evenings and occasional weekends. Will provide programmatic training and CPR/First Aid training as necessary.

Car and license necessary. Some experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
